At SHINE, we don't just study the Bible, we live it.  We come together on Wednesday evenings to learn more about our faith, but we take what we learn and do something about it.  Whether it's Christmas caroling at a nursing home or doing a mission project close by or far away, we put our faith into action and let our light SHINE so others see God working through us.

At the end of February the youth took the challenge of the 30 Hr. Famine.  Here the teens will become aware of the poverty and hunger that much of the world lives in.  They are raising money to help in this effort and support people in Honduras through World Vision.  We raised nearly $1000 to help fight hunger.  This will feed three children for one year.

We're back from the trip and it was a great experience.  We were connected to God, our group, people who served beside us from around the country, and we especially connected with the people we were there to help.

Take a look at the slide show below to get an idea of what the trip was like for our youth.

We take the safety of our children and youth at Concordia very seriously.  We want to have an environment where the youth know that they're safe and where parents know that their children are safe.  Anyone who works with youth or children must pass a background check and adhere to our Youth Protection Policy.
